Support Darius build with runes and items. Support Darius guide offers in-depth how-to play, skill order and tips. Play Support Darius build in League of Legends Patch 26.4!
Good option if you want extra healing and sustain for your team. Provides movement speed burst and can be used in clutch situations.
Exhaust
Defensive option. Exhaust for more peel and protection against enemy divers and assassins.
Ignite
Offensive option and fun button to press. Reduces your going-in potential, but adds some damage and Grievious Wounds for enemy healing. Good to score some kills early.
As Darius playing a Support, your main goal is to soak up damage while protecting your carries.
You offer excellent crowd control and peel, making it harder for the enemy team to reach your backline.
Adapt your playstyle depending on your team's needs: either engage and start fights, or sit back and peel for your carries.
Make sure to counter enemy team. Itemize defensively based on the main damage type of the enemy team.

Adaptation
If your team needs engage, go Trailblazer and Shurelya's Battlesong.
Your team getting poked to death? Consider getting Redemption AND/OR Locket of the Iron Solari next.
If your team needs peel, go Knight's Vow and Locket of the Iron Solari.
Knight's Vow is a surprisingly good item. Buy it and use it if you have carry or bruiser/fighter who is doing well.
You need to adapt your items to the game. Enemy team heavy on AP? Buy MR. They heavy on AD? Buy Armor. You need some damage? Well buy that.
Buffing your team
Bandlepipes is a great utility item for engaging and buffing your auto attackers when you CC enemies.
Runes
Be careful to not waste Aftershock. Try timing it and keeping it for going in.
Tips and Tricks
Champion
Hemorrhage (Passive)
Darius is all about bleeds. Focus on getting 5 stacks - for example, you can stack it on their tanks/frontline, and once stacked you can focus on their backline for easier kills (Mark/Flash).
Decimate (Q)
You can Flash during Decimate (Q) animation.
Slow enemies with your Crippling Strike (W), so you have much easier time to hit your Decimate (Q).
Remember that your Decimate (Q) heals, so do not forget to use it in clutch moments.
Crippling Strike (W)
Your Crippling Strike (W) resets auto. Try weaving it: auto - W - auto. This maximizes damage output (especially important to push turrets faster).
Apprehend (E)
Apprehend (E) is a powerful cooldown. You can use to cancel enemy abilities. Do not waste it right away, but wait for a good moment (like when somebody tries to Flash away from you, or to cancel some of their abilities).
Darius Combos
Decimate (Q) + Flash Combo: wait till the very end of Q animation to Flash. This way, your enemies will have less time to react, and you can surprise them.
Riot
Decimate is a powerful harassment ability. Strike an enemy from maximum range for the greatest effect.
Noxian Guillotine does more damage the more attacks you can land prior to it. Use Noxian Might to deal maximum damage.
Darius benefits greatly from enhanced survivability. The longer you can prolong a fight, the more powerful he becomes.
