How it works

General

  1. This build is inspired by Solarbacca's playstyle.
  2. You build a hybrid of AD and AP items, focusing on burn damage and sustain.
  3. This build allows you to deal good damage even if you miss some barrels, which are the main source of damage for AD Gangplank.
  4. The build provides excellent sustain with Remove Scurvy (W) which scales with AP.
  5. You combine AD items like The Collector and Trinity Force with AP burn items like Liandry's Torment and Malignance.

How to play

General

  1. Your build order should be: Sheen -> The Collector -> Malignance -> Liandry's Torment -> Trinity Force -> (crit AD / AP items).
  2. You usually go more AP when against ranged / poke comps.
  3. This build is forgiving - you can still deal significant damage even if you miss your barrel combos.
  4. Use your Remove Scurvy (W) liberally for sustain, as it scales with AP and provides excellent healing.
  5. Your barrels still deal damage, but you're not completely dependent on them for damage output.
  6. Against tanky teams, prioritize Liandry's Torment for the burn damage.
  7. Against squishy teams, you can focus more on AD items like The Collector and Infinity Edge.
  8. Malignance works great with your ultimate, providing magic damage over time in the area.
  9. The Collector synergizes well with your burn effects from Liandry's Torment, allowing you to execute low-health enemies.

Tips and Tricks

Champion

  1. Your Ultimate upgrade order:
    • Fire at Will (more waves).
    • Death's Daughter (true damage).
    • Raise Morale (bonus movement speed).
  2. Your Parrrley (Q) count as ranged attack, which means some runes and items will give you an effect as if you were ranged champion. For example: Grasp of the Undying - less heal, less Health, less dmg. Hubris - less ad. First Strike - less gold.

Riot

  1. Parrrley applies On Hit effects like Frozen Mallet or Black Cleaver.
  2. Paying attention to low-health enemies on the map can land you a surprise kill with Cannon Barrage.
  3. Try placing Cannon Barrage on the path of escape to cut off fleeing enemies.
