How it works

General

  1. You play as burst oriented Mage.
  2. You build AP items.
  3. You rush Stormsurge.

Champion

  1. This build is a variation of regular AP Gwen build. It focuses solely on big burst damage from R (mostly). Your Passive and Q will hit like crazy, but you will be squishy, so be careful!
  2. This is a glass cannon build, so be very careful and not go in like you would with normal Gwen build.

How to play

General

  1. Playing Full Magic Penetration Gwen build, your default rush is Stormsurge.
  2. Adapt to an enemy team. Are they full of tanks, and they rush tons of Magic Resist? You rush Void Staff as #2 or #3 item to counter MR stacking. Their team has champs with lots of healing? Rush Oblivion Orb as #2 item (upgrade to Morellonomicon as 4th or 5th item).
  3. Somebody is going after you each fight? Always getting ulted by enemy assassins? Rush Zhonya's Hourglass.

Champion

  1. If you are fed and want to test - try Axiom Arc for more frequent ults.
  2. Another good rune is First Strike + Domination with Sudden Impact/Ultimate Hunter.

Tips and Tricks

Champion

  1. Hallowed Mist (W) is great tool for tanking. Be smart about it and do not use it right away.

Riot

  1. Always be Attacking - In addition to dealing bonus damage, Gwen's Attacks empower or reset many of her Abilities.
  2. Gwen can still damage enemies outside her Hallowed Mists, especially with her Ultimate's range.
  3. Some of Gwen's Abilities can apply her passive to multiple enemies, so aim them at groups to get maximum damage and healing.
