How it works
AP Build specific
- You play as Mage building Burn items.
- You rush Liandry's Torment.
- You burn your enemies. With DOTs. And debuffs.
Jhin specific
- There's some weird interaction between burn effect from Liandry's Anguish and The Collector item. You will often get kills from that, which makes this build really fun, good and fun to play.
How to play
AP Build specific
- Playing AP Jhin build, your default rush is Liandry's Torment vs. HP, Blackfire Torch vs. squishes. Then get the other item
- Adapt to an enemy team. Are they full of tanks, and they rush tons of Magic Resist? You rush Void Staff as #2 or #3 item to counter MR stacking. Their team has champs with lots of healing? Rush Oblivion Orb as #2 item (upgrade to Morellonomicon as 4th or 5th item).
- Items like Morellonomicon or Oblivon Orb are extra effective with this build, thanks to damage over time effects from Liandry's Torment.
- An enemy team has an extremely strong shielding? You can get Serpent's Fang to counter it. It works with your DoTs, meaning shield reduction lasts longer.
- They have lots of melee? Or you just want to kite them? Get Rylai's Crystal Scepter.
- Somebody is going after you each fight? Always getting ulted by enemy assassins? Rush Zhonya's Hourglass.
- If you are doing well, are ahead and want to have some fun, you can buy The Collector item. It works off your damage over time effects!
Jhin specific
- Auto attack and count! Even with AP items, your autoattacks are quite powerful. Every 4th shot is basically an execute, that scales off with enemy missing health.
- Depending on the enemy team, you can max E first. If an enemy team has lots of melee champions (tanks, bruisers), you can just run around and put traps under their feet in fights.
- You can play very safe from the distance if needed (lots of poke, going in, going after you). Use W, R and place traps.
- When enemies are under the turret, put traps in minions weave to trigger them, or behind the turret. This is super annoying to an enemy team (something like Teemo's shrooms).
Tips and Tricks
General
- Your fourth shot is powerful execute. Early on, save Jhin 4th shot for harass or even kill.
- Before using Ultimate, you can place traps before you, so enemies will have a hard time getting to you in time.
- Simple combo: place trap and wait for the enemy to come, then W him, this way he takes tons of damage.
- Harder combo: traps stack, you can place multiple in one spot and wait for an enemy with W.
- You can use traps for bush control. You can also use them to annoy enemy team - when enemies are under turret, put traps in minions weaves to trigger them, or behind turret.
- Slow enemy push by placing traps on the minions' path.
- Do not wait for 'special moment' and just use R on the enemy team when possible!
Riot
- Deadly Flourish has incredible range. When approaching a fight be sure to look ahead for enemies that could be rooted.
- Your ultimate deals significantly less damage to enemies with full health. Look to pick off weakened targets as they run away.
- You can still cast your spells while reloading. Use them to fill the down time.
Skill Order
- Dancing GrenadeQ
- Deadly FlourishW
