TLDR

Iceborn Gauntlet Jinx Runes

Optional Summoner Spells
Mark
Mark (Snowball) for a go-in tool if you want to be more aggressive.
Exhaust
Defensive option. Exhaust for peeling against enemy divers and assassins and protecting your carries.
Optional Runes
Presence of Mind
Triumph is better overall (heal + gold), but if you want to have easier time with your mana, go Presence of Mind.
Demolish
If you are into taking objectives, you can consider taking Demolish rune. Usually it is worth it and lets you push turrets quicker. Utility slash team oriented option.
How it works
- You rush Iceborn Gauntlet.
- You play as Tank, but with focus on kitting the enemy team and utility for your team.
- You disrupt fights with CC, soak damage, peel off your carries or initiate for your team.
Playstyle
Rush Iceborn Gauntlet to slow and kite the enemy team.
Disrupt fights, create frozen pools, provide utility. All while soaking damage for your team.
Adapt your tank items based on the enemy composition, so you can counter them.
How to play
Iceborn Gauntlet Jinx
- You can also be pretty good team fight disruptor. Just throw Flame Chompers! (E) in the middle for maximum effectiveness.
- You can be pretty good peeler. Stay close to your carries and throw Flame Chompers! (E) under them (vs melee) or in front of them (vs mages or enemies who go for them from distance)
- Even when playing Iceborn Gauntlet Jinx and not buying damage items, you still have nice damage. Your Super Mega Death Rocket! (R) will still be pretty good execute ability, dealing AoE based on target's missing health. When used from distance, it will deal even more.
Getting started
- You rush Iceborn Gauntlet #1, then you need to adapt your items to the game. Enemy team heavy on AP? Buy MR. They heavy on AD? Buy Armor. You need some damage? Well buy that.
- You can rush Imperial Mandate #2 if you can afford it, this makes this build more fun. However, if you are behind, it is okay to just skip it.
During fights
- There's great synergy between Iceborn Gauntlet + Imperial Mandate + Font of Life. You create frozen pools that will persist for a few seconds, slowing enemies, applying Imperial Mandate debuff + Font of Life heal mark for your allies.
Items
- For more utility oriented build, you can get Locket of the Iron Solari (sustain) or Shurelya's Battlesong (engages).
Runes
- Triumph rune is better overall (heal and gold), but if you want to have easier time with your mana, go Presence of Mind.
- Remember to consume your Grasp of the Undying procs!
Tips and Tricks
Riot
- Rockets aren't always the best choice! Jinx's minigun is incredibly powerful when fully ramped up. Switch to it whenever an enemy champion gets too close.
- Jinx's rockets deal full damage to all enemies in the explosion. Use them on minions in lane to hit nearby enemy champions without drawing minion aggro.
- When a fight starts try to stay on the edge of fray by poking with rockets and Zap!. Do not run in and unload with the minigun until you feel it is safe.
Skill Order
- Switcheroo!
Q
- Zap!
W
- Flame Chompers!
E
- Super Mega Death Rocket!
