How it works

  1. This build is all about Imperial Mandate and immobilizing your enemies.
  2. You support your team through disrupting fights, locking down enemies with CC, making them Vulnerable so they take more damage, and providing healing/buffs.

How to play

Imperial Mandate Karma

  1. Depending on the enemy team, you can max Inner Flame (Q) first for more poke and damage.

Imperial Mandate

  1. Completing your Focused Resolve (W) tether (or empowered W with Mantra (R)) roots the enemy and procs Imperial Mandate, making them Vulnerable so you and your team do more dmg to the target.
  2. Imperial Mandate also gives additional Ability Haste on Focused Resolve (W), lowering its cooldown so you can root enemies more often.

Core

  1. Your core item is Imperial Mandate, which grants Ability Haste to your immobilizing abilities and marks immobilized targets Vulnerable, so they receive more damage from you and your team.

Runes

  1. Your CC triggers Font of Life and Imperial Mandate, healing your allies and amplifying damage against targets.
  2. Remember that you need to keep close to your allies to trigger Guardian.
  3. Be careful to not waste Guardian randomly. Try keeping it for when you or your ally are about to take some serious damage.

How Imperial Mandate works

  1. Imperial Mandate grants additional Ability Haste to your immobilizing abilities. Immobilizing an enemy marks them as Vulnerable, causing them to take increased damage from all sources, from you and your team.

Buffing your team

  1. Font of Life heal triggers various support items like Ardent Censer, Staff of Flowing Water or even Moonstone Renewer!
  2. If your team needs sustain, you can even get Diadem of Songs.
  3. If your team has auto attackers, get Ardent Censer. Your Font of Life will buff them constantly.
  4. Bandlepipes is excellent - gives MS and buffs allies' attack speed when you CC/slow enemies.
  5. Staff of Flowing Water is a good item if you have lots of AP scaling champions on the team.

Adaptation

  1. Enemy team heavy on AP? Buy MR items like Kaenic Rookern or Spirit Visage.
  2. Enemy team heavy on AD? Buy Armor items like Thornmail or Randuin's Omen.
  3. Your team lacks damage? You can buy damage items - Liandry's Torment or Blackfire Torch work well.

Tips and Tricks

Riot

  1. Gathering Fire rewards aggressive play. Look to land abilities and basic attacks on your opponent to lower Mantra's cooldown and stay on the offensive.
  2. When using Focused Resolve, slow your opponents with Inner Flame or speed yourself up with Inspire if you're having trouble sticking to a target.
  3. Don't be too conservative with Mantra. Gathering Fire is strongest in teamfights, making it easy to recharge Mantra multiple times.
