How to play
Support Lee Sin
Skill order
The skill order is flexible and should be adapted based on the game situation.
In most scenarios, max Safeguard / Iron Will (W) first for shielding and sustain, then prioritize Sonic Wave / Resonating Strike (Q) or Tempest / Cripple (E) second depending on the matchup.
Max Q when you need more poke and want to go in more frequently, generally for a more dynamic playstyle.
Max E against lots of melee and for better peeling.
General
Starter items
Start with Bandleglass Mirror and Ruby Crystal. Get Moonstone Renewer #1, then adapt.
Summoner Spell
You can get Mark (Snowball) summoner instead of Exhaust if you want to play more aggressive and to go in.
You will be squishy early on, and if you don't go some tanky items later. Be careful!
Adaptation
Your team needs to engage or position? Get items like Shurelya's Battlesong or Trailblazer.
Your team getting poked to death? Consider getting Redemption AND/OR Locket of the Iron Solari next.
If you are just getting poked and cannot manage to stay alive - get Kaenic Rookern or Warmog's Armor (caution: needs enough HP!)
You have tanks, bruisers and your team lack damage? As a last resort, you can buy few items to even help with that!
Countering
Remember to counter an enemy team. For example, if they have lots of healing, get Executioner's Calling early.
Buffing your team
If your team has a lot of AP scaling champs, you can get Staff of the Flowing Water.
If your team has a lot of auto attackers AND/OR melee champs, get Ardent Censer.
If your team has a lot of auto attacks, you can also get Bandlepipes to increase their attack speed.
Tips and Tricks
Champion
Lee Sin combo #1: Use Dragon's Rage (R), then Flash immediately into a direction they do not expect (i.e behind them). The destination of your kick is registered at the moment of animation finish, not the start. You can do cool trick and kick enemy into your team, or even spawning pool!
Lee Sin combo #2: You hit somebody with Sonic Wave / Resonating Strike (Q), but they are too far away to follow up with second Q? Hit enemy champion or minions with Mark (Snowball), or Safeguard to your ally champ or minions, or even Flash!
Lee Sin combo #3: Dueling with someone? Use Dragon's Rage (R), then when enemy champ is in the air, hit Q for sure hit.
Lee Sin combo #4: Scaring tactic. Hit somebody with Sonic Wave / Resonating Strike (Q)? Pretend that you follow up, by casting second Q, but in the midair use Safeguard / Iron Will (W) to ally champ or minion. You can even bait some Summoner Spells or other cooldowns!
Riot
Use Sonic Wave before Dragon's Rage so you can chase the target with Resonating Strike.
Take advantage of Flurry by weaving in basic attacks between spell casts - this maximizes damage output and minimizes Energy loss.
Self-casting Safeguard and using Iron Will are powerful tools for killing neutral monsters (in the jungle).
