TLDR

Iceborn Gauntlet Nasus Runes

Optional Summoner Spells
Ghost
Ghost for extra mobility and chasing.
Exhaust
Defensive option. Exhaust for peeling against enemy divers and assassins and protecting your carries.
Optional Runes
Presence of Mind
Triumph is better overall (heal + gold), but if you want to have easier time with your mana, go Presence of Mind.
Demolish
If you are into taking objectives, you can consider taking Demolish rune. Usually it is worth it and lets you push turrets quicker. Utility slash team oriented option.
How it works
- You rush Iceborn Gauntlet.
- You play as Tank, but with focus on kitting the enemy team and utility for your team.
- You disrupt fights with CC, soak damage, peel off your carries or initiate for your team.
Playstyle
Rush Iceborn Gauntlet to slow and kite the enemy team.
Disrupt fights, create frozen pools, provide utility. All while soaking damage for your team.
Adapt your tank items based on the enemy composition, so you can counter them.
How to play
Getting started
- You rush Iceborn Gauntlet #1, then you need to adapt your items to the game. Enemy team heavy on AP? Buy MR. They heavy on AD? Buy Armor. You need some damage? Well buy that.
- You can rush Imperial Mandate #2 if you can afford it, this makes this build more fun. However, if you are behind, it is okay to just skip it.
During fights
- There's great synergy between Iceborn Gauntlet + Imperial Mandate + Font of Life. You create frozen pools that will persist for a few seconds, slowing enemies, applying Imperial Mandate debuff + Font of Life heal mark for your allies.
Items
- For more utility oriented build, you can get Locket of the Iron Solari (sustain) or Shurelya's Battlesong (engages).
Runes
- Triumph rune is better overall (heal and gold), but if you want to have easier time with your mana, go Presence of Mind.
- Remember to consume your Grasp of the Undying procs!
Tips and Tricks
Champion
- Always try stacking your Siphoning Strike (Q), even if you are playing very unusual builds like AP or Support. It's gonna help with farming, emergency damage or when pushing turret.
- Your Siphoning Strike (Q) resets auto. Try weaving it: auto - Q - auto. This maximizes damage output (especially important to push turrets faster).
- Want to push turrets even faster? Use your Fury of the Sands (R) to reduce your Q cooldown and weave-Q spam to destroy turret quicker.
- Usually spam your Wither (W) on enemy carries, it is a great catching tool.
- You can use Fury of the Sands (R) before taking portal (frost-gate). You will be damaging everyone on your path during travel. Especially effective, if you are playing AP #champion build!
Riot
- Paying attention to last hitting with Siphoning Strike will have a large impact at the end of a game.
- If you're solo, Spirit Fire is a great way to farm a lane. It can be bad if you're in a lane with 2 and you push too far. Find the right balance between Siphoning Strike last hits and AoE farming.
- If you have low defenses, people will focus you down even during your ultimate. Try buying some survivability items even in your DPS builds.
