Optional Summoner Spells

Exhaust

Exhaust

Solid choice in most of the games. Helps against assassins, divers and melee overall. It also lowers your healing output as you do not take Heal. Solid choice overall.

Ignite

Ignite

Offensive option, improves your damage, gives you additional cooldown to use in fights, but reduces your healing output.

Ghost

Ghost

Improves mobility. You can chase, position and flee better. Reduces your healing output, but makes you more agile in fights.

Looking for another support build? Check this:

How it works

  1. You rush Echoes of Helia.
  2. You play aggressively, getting Echoes of Helia stacks and spending them as soon as you can.
  3. You don't even need Support abilities. You can proc this item consistently with Guardian and Font of Life rune, Heal summoner spell and items.
  4. You adapt to your team's needs: more support, more damage or even more tank.

Playstyle

  1. ⚔️

Play aggressively, deal damage and poke to stack Echoes of Helia.

  2. 💫

Trigger Helia as often as possible with abilities, runes, summoners and items.

  3. 🤝

Support allies while dealing damage to enemies.

How to play

Helia Rek'Sai

  1. You are an ultimate bush master (more in Tips and Tricks section). It is especially important when playing Helia Rek'Sai.
  2. You can be a really good peeler. Enemy going after your carry? Stay close to your carry and knock them up with your Unborrow (W) to peel the enemy off. More enemies coming? Just burrow and knock them up, one by one, as well!
  1. This is an off-meta and very fun build that works on ANY champion - even those without healing or shielding abilities!
  2. Play aggressively, stack Echoes of Helia and heal!

Items

  1. Get Echoes of Helia #1. Then you need to adapt in the game to your team and to the enemy team.
  2. Usual item order: Echoes of Helia -> Moonstone Renewer -> Redemption -> Locket of the Iron Solari then adapt.
  3. Counter enemy team, go more support or go more damage. You can even build some tank items if needed.

Buffing your team

  1. Ardent Censer is worth it if you have auto attackers on your team (ADCs, auto-attack bruisers). It will trigger often enough to be good buy.
  2. Bandlepipes is a good new item that gives MS and buffs your allies Attack Speed when you slow/immobilize enemies. Good for your auto attackers.
  3. Staff of Flowing Water is great if you have AP champions on your team. You'll be proccing it frequently with your abilities, runes and items.

Adaptation

  1. Your team needs to engage or position? Get items like Shurelya's Battlesong or Trailblazer.
  2. Your team getting poked to death? Consider getting Redemption AND/OR Locket of the Iron Solari next.
  3. If you are just getting poked and cannot manage to stay alive - get Kaenic Rookern or Warmog's Armor (caution: needs enough HP!)
  4. You have tanks, bruisers and your team lacks damage? As a last resort, you can buy few items to even help with that!
  5. Remember to counter an enemy team. For example, if they have lots of healing, get Executioner's Calling early.

Tips and Tricks

Champion

  1. You can use your Void Rush (R) for survivability and disengage. Getting focused really hard in the fight? Use it, so enemies will lose target, stop attacking you, so then you can run away.
  2. You can use your Queen's Wrath / Prey Seeker (Q) (when burrowed) to scout bushes.
  3. You will detect enemies moving in the bushes thanks to Burrow / Un-burrow (W) (passive part while burrowed).
  4. Your ally got hit with a Snowball? Burrow and go close to them, to knock them up when they arrive. You can even time it to knock them in the air. Often it will be certain death for enemy player.

Riot

  1. Keeping tunnels spread out across the map will ensure you have choices when you want to cast Void Rush.
  2. Cast Burrow before travelling around the map to take advantage of the increased Move Speed and the safety provided by Tremor Sense.
  3. Tremor Sense can warn you of enemies closing in, and is particularly useful when entering enemy territory.
