Optional Summoner Spells

Heal

Heal

OK option if you want to play more support-ish as it provides extra healing.

Ignite

Ignite

Offensive option. Improves your damage.

Ghost

Ghost

Mobility option. Helps you position better to apply slows. Good for kiting or chasing. And running away.

Looking for another support build? Check these:

How it works

  1. This build is all about Imperial Mandate and slowing your enemies.
  2. You support your team through disrupting fights, slowing enemies, providing healing/buffs, and soaking damage.

Champion

  1. You can apply slows and Imperial Mandate easily from a distance.
  2. With Rylai's Crystal Scepter, you get super CC with your Beat Drop (E) (empowered E = AoE stun, unempowered E = AoE root).

Playstyle

  1. ❄️

Disrupt fights with slows and CC.

  2. 🎯

Proc Imperial Mandate and support your allies.

  3. 🧰

Adapt to the game and get items to counter enemy team.

How to play

  1. You rush Rylai's Crystal Scepter first, then Imperial Mandate second.
  2. Your CC triggers Glacial Augment that slows AOE. All Slows trigger Font of Life AND Imperial Mandate, healing and buffing your allies.

How Imperial Mandate works

  1. Imperial Mandate requires your TEAM to proc it for damage. Try coordinating it with your allies - mark targets when they're about to get poked or when your team goes in.

Buffing your team

  1. Font of Life heal triggers various support items like Ardent Censer, Staff of Flowing Water or even Moonstone Renewer!
  2. If your team needs sustain, you can even get Diadem of Songs.
  3. If your team has auto attackers, get Ardent Censer. Your Font of Life will buff them constantly.
  4. Bandlepipes is excellent - gives MS and buffs allies' attack speed when you CC/slow enemies.
  5. Staff of Flowing Water is good item if you have lots of AP scaling champions on the team.

Adaptation

  1. Enemy team heavy on AP? Buy MR items like Kaenic Rookern or Spirit Visage.
  2. Enemy team heavy on AD? Buy Armor items like Thornmail or Randuin's Omen.
  3. Your team lacks damage? You can buy damage items - Liandry's Torment or Blackfire Torch work well.

Tips and Tricks

Champion

Surround Sound (W)

  1. To trigger heal you need to have shield present on you. You normally do this with empowered Surround Sound (W). However you can also watch for shields from your allies or try coordinating with them to heal everyone on cooldowm

Beat Drop (E)

  1. If you want to crank up your utility by 1000%, you can get Rylai's Crystal Scepter.
  2. Rylai's Crystal Scepter changes how your Beat Drop (E) works. It normally slows, but with Rylai's it roots instantly! This turns your un-empowered E into an unconditional AoE root. And empowered E into unconditional AoE stun.
  3. You can use Beat Drop (E) in combination with Flash to quickly change the direction and length of the ability and surprise enemies.

Encore (R)

  1. Encore (R) not only extends when going through enemy champions, it also extends through allies too. Use this to shoot it through your frontline to reach enemy backline.
  2. For an easy guaranteed Encore (R), set it up with your empowered Beat Drop (E) root first - or an AoE stun if you have Rylai's Crystal Scepter - then fire Encore (R) while enemies are immobilized.
  3. Because R has a cast time and travel speed, landing it on moving enemies can be difficult. Always look to set up CC (or coordinate with your team) beforehand for a reliable combo.
  4. Alternatively, remember that Encore (R) also slows, you can follow up with a root from Beat Drop (E).
