TLDR

Support Teemo Runes

Optional Summoner Spells
Exhaust
Solid choice in most of the games. Helps against assassins, divers and melee overall. It also lowers your healing output as you do not take Heal. Solid choice overall.
Ignite
Offensive option, improves your damage, gives you additional cooldown to use in fights, but reduces your healing output.
Ghost
Improves mobility. You can chase, position and flee better. Reduces your healing output, but makes you more agile in fights.
How it works
- You're a healer, Harry.
- Even though Teemo is not typical support, you are gonna support your team very effectively. With heals, shields and buffs:
- Heal summoner spell.
- Guardian and Font of Life runes.
- Redemption, Locket of the Iron Solari and Moonstone Renewer and other items.
- Diadem of Songs for some sweet and constant healing.
Champion
- Teemo's Blinding Dart (Q) is very unique tool. On top of poking, it also blinds enemies. You can shut down carries and make them useless in fights.
Playstyle
Play safe, stay in the back and play like support, so you can stay and heal more.
Use Redemption, Locket, and Heal on cooldown for healing. Focus on healing and shielding to keep allies alive.
Sometimes, you can go in and play more aggressively when the opportunity is right.
How to play
Support Teemo
- Use and keep your Blinding Dart (Q) to blind key targets, especially enemy auto attackers, ADs or ADCs during team fights. This can completely shut down their damage in fights.
- Place Noxious Trap (R) mushrooms strategically for vision control and to slow enemies, which triggers Font of Life healing for your allies.
- This is an off-meta and very fun build that works on ANY champion - even those without healing or shielding abilities!
- Your job is to stay alive and provide constant healing, shielding, and buffs to your team through items and summoner spells.
- Play safe and stay in the back. The longer you survive, the more you can heal your teammates.
Items
- Your first rush is Redemption.
- Your second rush can be Locket of the Iron Solari (vs AoE burst) or Moonstone Renewer (for sustained healing).
- Rush Locket #2 if your team is already doing teamfights or when enemy team has champions with super AoE damage. Otherwise, get Moonstone Renewer #2.
- If you manage to stack if quite fast, you can rush Diadem of Songs as well.
- Echoes of Helia is a strong option - you can proc it consistently with Font of Life (from your slow/CC abilities). However it encourages you to play aggressive to stack it and with this build, you really want to stay behind and play passive. Be careful.
- Knight's Vow is surprisingly strong if you have a carry/strong bruiser/strong tank. Stick with them and support them specifically.
Summoner Spell
- Try to use summoner spell Heal on cooldown, especially when 2+ allies are nearby. With Moonstone Renewer, you want to heal multiple people for maximum value.
Late game
- Later in the game (6 items), you can sell boots for a sixth support item to maximize your healing output.
Buffing your team
- Ardent Censer is worth it if you have auto attackers on your team (ADCs, auto-attack bruisers). It will trigger often enough to be good buy.
- Bandlepipes is a good new item that gives MS and buffs your allies Attack Speed when you slow/immobilize enemies. Good for your auto attackers.
- Staff of Flowing Water is great if you have AP champions on your team. You'll be proccing it frequently with your support abilities.
- Cryptbloom is interesting if you want to go full healing. Get it as #4+ item.
Runes
- Guardian is your most important rune. It provides massive shielding, but remember: you need to be close to your allies to proc it.
- You can also manipulate it - for example, you can stick to one ally, or avoid some spells that's gonna only waste it.
- Another important rule is Cosmic Insight. It is crucial because it reduces cooldowns for your active items and Heal summoner spell:
- Redemption and Locket of the Iron Solari - 81.92 sec cooldown (down from 90 sec).
- Shurelya's Battlesong - 68.12 sec cooldown (down from 75 sec).
- Heal summoner spell gets reduced cooldown too!
- You will be triggering Font of Life effect, which will heal your allies. It also chains off Moonstone Renewer!
- Important Font of Life total healing is NOT properly calculated in post-game stats. The actual value in-game is much higher than displayed! You heal more than you think!
Redemption
- Try to use Redemption on cooldown when your allies are missing health. It's best used when they are grouped together.
- If you already have Moonstone Renewer, wait (or ping) until allies group before using Redemption, so you can heal everyone at once.
- You CAN use Redemption for damage, but generally it's not worth it. Keep it to heal your team!
- Be careful when using Redemption while dead and about to respawn. The camera will snap to your position, and you might accidentally cast it in the spawn pool. Watch out for bad timing!
Tips and Tricks
Champion
Blinding Dart (Q)
- Your Blinding Dart (Q) is a powerful tool against any auto attackers. If the enemy team has a strong carry that relies heavily on basic attacks, save your blind specifically for them.
- Blinding Dart (Q) has a 680 range.
- It's more than your auto attack range, which means you can safely Q from distance, but at the same distance you cannot auto attack.
- Your Blinding Dart (Q) outranges most enemy champions’ auto attacks and many of their abilities. Use this range advantage to poke and harass safely.
- Only step forward to add auto attacks if it’s safe and you want to trigger your Toxic Shot (E). Remember: Teemo’s auto-attack range is much shorter than Blinding Dart (Q)’s range, so closing the gap puts you at risk!
Noxious Trap (R)
- The placement of your mushrooms should depend on how the game is going on.
- Your team is losing? Better to start putting down your Noxious Trap (R) behind your team (because otherwise, you cannot protect them at all).
- If the enemy team has strong engage, placing mushrooms behind your team helps punish dives and disengage fights.
- If you are ahead and can safely defend your mushrooms, place them aggressively in front of your team to control space and pressure the enemy.
- Another effective Noxious Trap (R) strategy is placing mushrooms directly on enemy minions or in the middle of fight. Enemies often don’t react quickly enough, allowing you to proc it instantly and deal sweet Noxious Trap (R) damage.
Riot
- Teemo's mushrooms can be used to farm creep waves very effectively.
- Place your mushrooms at key locations on the map, such as by the Dragon or Baron Nashor, to reveal when your enemies might be attempting to kill them.
Skill Order
